  • A 3D scan, where offered

A complimentary or approved 3D scan at a SmileBoxx location, in place of taking impressions yourself.

  • Doctor-led planning

Your treatment is planned by a clinician, with a personalized plan and preview before anything is manufactured.

  • In-person support as needed

Time with a professional in person during treatment, when your case calls for it.

  • Progress monitoring

Your progress is reviewed as treatment goes on, so the plan is checked against what is actually happening.

  • Mid-course refinements

Adjustments to the plan partway through, when they are clinically indicated.

  • A retainer plan at completion

Treatment finishes with a retainer plan for holding the result once your aligners are done.

Technology

Optional OrthoPulse support.

Where clinically appropriate and available, the treatment pathway may include OrthoPulse — a near-infrared photobiomodulation device used alongside orthodontic treatment. Final inclusion is clinician-led and location-specific.

It is not part of every plan, and whether it forms part of yours is a decision for the clinician reviewing your case.

Before you book.

How is RX/Pro different from SmileSet?

SmileSet is the remote pathway for straightforward cases: you take impressions at home or have an approved scan, and a licensed dental professional plans your treatment. RX/Pro is the professional pathway for cases that may need in-person scans, closer doctor oversight, progress reviews and refinements along the way. The comparison above sets the two side by side.

How do I know which one my case needs?

You will not know for certain until a licensed dental professional has looked at your case. That is the honest answer, and it is why the first step of either pathway is an eligibility review rather than a purchase. If a straightforward case arrives at RX/Pro, you should expect to be pointed back to SmileSet.

What does RX/Pro cost?

The published reference price is from $1,995 for complete treatment. Pricing is severity-based, so the figure for your own case is confirmed after your clinical review rather than at the point you book. Payment options available through SmileBoxx are confirmed at consultation.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment length is case-dependent and is set by your prescribed plan. Your clinician confirms it when your case has been reviewed, and it is not something this page can tell you in advance.

Do I have to visit a location?

RX/Pro is built around in-person care where it is offered: a 3D scan at a location, doctor-led planning, and in-person support as your case needs it. How much of that applies is decided when your case is reviewed. If visiting a location is not practical for you, SmileSet is the remote pathway.

Will OrthoPulse be part of my plan?

Possibly, but it is not automatic. Where it is clinically appropriate and available, the pathway may include OrthoPulse. Final inclusion is clinician-led and location-specific, so it is decided when your case is reviewed rather than chosen at checkout.

Not sure which pathway fits your case?

Book a scan and let a professional look at it. If SmileSet is the better fit for you, that is what you will be told.
