FAQ
Questions, answered.
The answers below are the same ones carried on the service pages themselves. Where something is settled at a consultation rather than on a page, that is what it says.
Aligners and treatments
Aligners, whitening and treatments.
Covering SmileSet, RX/Pro, Professional Whitening, Liquid Smile and Smile POP.
Is a real dental professional involved, or is this mail order?
A licensed dental professional reviews your case and prescribes your treatment plan, and eligibility is their decision rather than an automatic one. The impression kit and the aligners arrive by post, but the clinical judgement in the middle is a person's.
What is the difference between SmileSet and RX/Pro?
SmileSet is the remote pathway for straightforward cases: you take impressions at home or have an approved scan, and a licensed dental professional plans your treatment. RX/Pro is the professional pathway for cases that may need in-person scans, closer doctor oversight, progress reviews and refinements along the way.
What does aligner treatment cost?
SmileSet aligner treatment is currently $1,295 against a regular price of $1,795, and that covers your impression kit, your prescribed treatment plan, your custom aligners and shipping. RX/Pro publishes a reference price of from $1,995 for complete treatment, and it is severity-based, so the figure for your own case is confirmed after your clinical review. Individual plans vary.
What happens at a whitening appointment?
An assessment of your smile goals and your existing dental work, a recommendation of the approved whitening pathway appropriate to your case, and the aftercare routine that goes with it.
Is professional whitening the same as the Whitening Pen?
No. The pen is the at-home SmileBoxx product you can buy today. A professional whitening pathway is arranged in person at a location, and the two sit alongside each other.
Can I buy Liquid Smile now?
Not yet. Liquid Smile is a coming-soon concept, so the only thing you can do today is join the interest list and be told when there is something to tell. We would rather say that than take an order for something that does not exist.
Is Smile POP a permanent implant?
No. It is a removable 3D-printed partial solution that clips onto your existing teeth, and it is designed to replace up to three missing teeth. Whether that fits your case is decided at your consultation.
Guards
Night & Bite, XSport and Breathe.
Covering the three custom guards. None of them is priced on this site — they are fitted services, so pricing is confirmed with you.
Which guard do I need?
That is decided with you rather than here. The three are different products for different reasons, and a consultation is where your case is matched to one.
How much does a guard cost?
No guard is priced on this site. Pricing is confirmed at your consultation, because these are fitted services rather than items you add to a cart.
How often does a guard need replacing?
Replacement guidance is part of your fitting and is given to you then. We do not publish an interval here, because it is not something a page can settle for your case.
What is XSport made from?
The range is described with carbon-fiber reinforcement. Beyond that, material detail sits with the manufacturer and is subject to final reseller approval, so we do not publish a specification here.
Is Breathe the same as a night guard?
No. Breathe is a separate custom oral appliance pathway focused on breathing and sleep support, with its own page. A night and bite guard is designed for grinding and clenching.
Who decides whether Breathe is suitable?
An appropriately qualified clinician. This site does not assess anyone, and we do not publish guidance on when an oral appliance is or is not appropriate.
Ordering and locations
Booking, locations and getting in touch.
How the services are arranged, and where things stand with locations.
Can I book online?
You can request a consultation or a scan, and you can join an interest list for a service that is not open yet. These are professional services rather than items you add to a cart, so the next step is always a conversation.
Are any locations open yet?
None are listed yet. Openings and pop-up dates appear on the Locations page as they are confirmed, and a location is not listed until its details are fixed.
When are you opening?
There is no date to give yet. We do not publish an opening date before it is confirmed, and the notify list is how you hear about your own market.
Can I be told when a location opens in my market?
Yes. The Locations page carries a notify list for markets we have not opened in yet, alongside the locations that are open or opening.
Do I need to visit in person?
It depends which service you are after. SmileSet is the remote aligner pathway and can be completed from home. Most of the others are built around in-person care, because they need a scan or a custom fitting.
Still have a question?
If it is about your own case, a consultation is the place for it. If it is about the site, get in touch.
